Clash Royale July Update: Balance Changes and New Cards

Hello everybody, in this guide I’m gonna show you an amazing PriHo deck that i just tried out in a tournament, and i actually got to first place with, even if i lost some matches after. But anyways, let’s get into the guide. In this deck, i use the furnace to always keep the pressure. Now, you may think it’s hard to send decent pushes every 10th second, now it’s not all that bad that’s why i bring the elixir collector in this deck, You’re not only getting an elixir advantage but you’re also getting enough elixir to always send pushes. Card Breakdown: Prince: Obvious card because of the title, if your opponent can the stop the hog rider, he will most likely struggle against the prince. Main damage dealer together with the hog rider. Hog Rider: All Hog users love the sound of: Hog Rideeer! He’s just so amazing with his fast movement speed and high damage. Easily countered with a cannon in the middle. Valkyrie: Almost every deck needs this card. She will just spin around whenever you want her to, she will crush the witch and her little bone brothers, Barbarians just disappear, etc. She’s great for almost everything. Put her in the front of your prince or hog rider and the will easily shove her forwards
Mini P.E.K.K.A: Great defensive card, as she melts tanks like Golem and Giant while your Valkyrie totally destroys the support. Replace with fire spirits or fireball if you’re in arena 6 or below (as Royal Giants don’t belong there). Cannon: The best defensive structure in the game, IMO. Stops alone giants, hog riders etc. The cheapest defense too, use that to you’re advantage an gain some positive elixir trades out of it. Zap: Obviously, do i need to explain this card? Just cast it on a Minion Horde, a tower (for an extra hit). Can be replaced with arrows. Elixir Collector: Great all-around card, can be put i any deck, Hog Trifecta, Golem, Giant, etc. ”You gotta spend Elixir to make Elixir.” ALWAYS Place it down in the beginning if you have it. Can be replaced with a cheap card such as skeletons or spear goblins and just cycle through them. Furnace: The last card and the core of this deck, everything cycles around the Furnace. Make sure to upgrade it to a high level so that you’re fire spirits are strong enough to take out things like Barbarians and Minion Horde without problem. Try to have 2 furnaces down in 2x elixir. Place the first one right in front of the kings tower, obviously on the side you wanna push. How to play If you’re an experienced player (as I’m not one), you probably just should skip this, but i hope you read and at least learned something. Offense In the start put down the collector if you have it, if not, put down the furnace. Have none of them? Wait for your opponent, if they doesn’t play anything, you can try a Valkyrie + Hog Rider/Prince if you want. Otherwise, you can just use your creativity. Keep pressuring with pushes and defend with Valkyrie + Mini P.E.K.K.A. chip away at your opponent tower and try to win. I don’t think this deck requires much skill. Defense: Imagine you’re defending against a Giant + Witch combo, Put the cannon down in the usual position (4 tiles form the river and the tiles form the arena tower). Then just send a Valkyrie to take care of the Witch. Do the same defense against all giant combos. Royal Giant is a bit different. Put your cannon down so both that AND the arena tower can target the Royal Giant. Place a Mini P.E.K.K.A or a Valkyrie if you need to. Weaknesses The last but maybe the most important part of this guide. Every deck has weaknesses. The Lava Hound: Try to just ground push or just go for a draw. Other all air decks: Same as above Giant Skeleton: The most hated card, IMO, but shouldn’t be that hard to beat when you have so many ways to push. You’ve all been waiting for this: HOW DO I COUNTER THE SPARKY?! Well, Sparky isn’t that good. I have the Sparky and i don’t think she’s that good (I’ve not won a single trophie using her). Just try to distract her reset her with the zap and take her out with the Prince, Valkyrie or Mini P.E.K.K.A. Do the usual 4 3 plant with the cannon. Hi my friends, and welcome to a guide where I’m going to show you a very special deck. Now, I just sat and experimented with a deck I had in one of my spots. Then, a great idea came flying to me; Why don’t you make a Hog Rider Bowler deck? Now, you may think; The Hog Rider only compliments fast troops! That’s totally wrong, in this deck I use Goblins to push the Bowler so he gets faster. Smart, right..? What do you think about the upcoming Clash Royale update?


Card Breakdown:

Hog Rider: The best card in this whole game, at least IMO. Compeletely demolishes the arena tower if left alone. He’s the damage dealer and the Bowler is his support.

Bowler: WHY THE HELL IS THIS CARD IN MY DECK? Come on guys, give this man a try. He will push units back and is the counter to barbarians in this deck. Too bad he can’t target air for some odd reason.

Goblins: The Hog Rider’s little green friends. What would he do withot them as they can help him bypsass buildings. Also good for stabbing support units.

Valkyrie: Your first priority to take out support units because of her extremely high health. Can also be used to tank for the Hog Rider if you have too much elixir.

Cannon: Not much to say about this card. Cheapest defense in the game. Positive elixir trade against SO many units. That’s it. Can be replaced with Tesla as this deck is weak to air.

Zap: No doubt this is the best sepll in the game. Instant cast time and 1s stunning effect. not much to say about this card either. Good for reseting Sparky, Royal Giant, Inferno Tower, etc. Can be replaced with Arrows.

Musketeer: High damage, air targeting sniper girl. Use against Ballon, Lava Hound, Baby Dragon, you name it. Outranged cannon and Bowler. Have too much elixir? Include her in the push. Replace with Ice Wizard if you have him but then, Tesla is also recommended.

Elixir Collector: I’m gonna be honest. I’m not too sure if this card really is as good as everyone says. Don’t hate me. Gives elixir advantage and forces your opponent to make the first move, It’s at least good in that case.

Start off:

The Elixir Collector is, for obvious reasons the dream card to start with. But here we’re gonna explain the order of the cards you wanna start with. So of you don’t get the Pump, the second best cards are the Hog Rider and the Goblins. If you see that you get both of these, you wanna immediately put both of those down. Now, an even better hand is the Bowler, the Hog Rider and the Goblins, That way you can immediately start with your push. I don’t recommend starting off with cannon or zap.

This is the order:

  1. Pump.
  2. Bowler, Hog Rider And Goblins.
  3. Hog Rider and Goblins.
  4. Ice Wizard (NOT Musketeer)
  5. Goblins at the bridge (To cycle)
  6. Hog Rider and Valkyrie.

Attack Strategies:

The Bowler Hog Rider Goblins:
Place down the Bowler in the back, when he reaches the bridge, put down Hog Rider in front and Goblins behind him.

The Hog Rider Valkyrie Ice Wizard:
Place down the Valkyrie in the back when she reaches the bridge, put down Hog Rider to shove her and and Ice Wizard as support.

The Hog Rider Goblins:
Only use if your opponent plays a high cost card in the back. This is exactly what is sounds like.

The Bowler Goblins:
Place a Bowler at the bridge, then place Goblins to push him and do damage. Easy to counter but if not countered properly, this is a devastating combo.

Tip: Don’t use the Valkyrie offensively unlees you know your opponent isn’t rocking 2 or more support troops (3 Musketeers counts as 3).


Golem decks: Snipe the support with your Valkyrie, pull the golem with cannon and put down an Ice Wizard or Musketeer. The only problem is Poison.

Air decks: Defend with Ice Wizard or Musketeer. Push the other lane with Hog Rider and Goblins. Try to get the draw if you can’t win.

P.E.K.K.A Double Prince. try to get the draw or something. Not too sure how to counter it with this deck, comment down below if you know how to.

Arrow bait: I hate these things. With my main deck, this is an easy matchup beacause I’m using Poison, Fire Spirits, Furnace and Zap. But here… Try to Zap Goblin Barrel, Ice Wizard or Musketeer at Minion Horde and Goblins at Princess.

Deck Strengths:

You will easily get and Elixir advantage with the Pump. There are many different ways to push, I’m sure you guys can find many more than i did. Can defend most pushes with ease so a draw is not hard to get.
